Halloween is Bali's biggest party week of the year. From Canggu to Uluwatu, the island turns into one giant costume party, and it all starts with the right outfit. Here's where to go, what's on, and how to be party-ready.
Halloween isn't a traditional Balinese holiday, so you won't find neighbourhood trick-or-treating, but the expat and traveller scene more than makes up for it. Beach clubs, villas and bars across Canggu, Berawa, Seminyak, Uluwatu and Ubud throw themed parties, costume contests and Día de los Muertos fiestas from late October through early November. Whatever you're going to, you'll want a costume that stands out and survives the tropical heat.
